The Digital Healthcare Innovation Hub (DHIH) was born out of a clear observation: too often, health technology solutions are developed in isolation, without the significant contribution of those they are supposed to serve – healthcare professionals and patients. This lack of co-creation leads to inappropriate tools, waste of valuable resources, and ultimately to the discouragement of investors and startups whose innovations struggle to find their market or to generate a real impact. The vision of the Digital Healthcare Innovation Hub is to make Cameroon a hub of excellence and innovation in HealthTech in Central Africa, radically transforming access and quality of health care for all. The main mission of the Digital Healthcare Innovation Hub (DHIH) is to overcome the persistent challenge of healthtech solutions that are inadequate for the local context in Cameroon. We do this by actively promoting user-centred co-creation and innovation.
